Beechwood House is located just a short stroll from the local bar /restaurant, Arundel’s, the Tin pub and local beach in Ahakista, on a 5-acre site which is comprised of meandering woodland walks along a riverbank and heathlands to the rear. For this reason, children will need careful supervision at all times when playing outside as the river is not fenced in.
For the active, the Sheep's Head peninsula boasts miles and miles of scenic walks, with the Mizen Peninsula's sandy beaches just a short drive away .
The local towns of Bantry, Schull, Ballydehob and Skibbereen with their festivals, pubs, shops and restaurants offer plenty of action, not forgetting the golf courses of Bantry and Glengariff which are amongst the most scenic you will ever play.
