DescriptionThere are very few properties that hold a flame to Wild Rose Cottage. It has it all: a beautiful secluded and private setting that overlooks the majestic Mourne Mountains; a picture-postcard cottage that has been carefully and lovingly restored to create a comfortable home with well appointed accommodation and lots of natural light. And of course the tasteful interior: simple white wash-style walls against parred back oak and slate tile floor.
This 1800's cottage occupies an elevated site in North Commons, which is located between Carlingford and Omeath. A view across Carlingford Lough to the Mournes beyond is amongst the most enviable of settings in the area, and is only enhanced by the mature trees and sweet garden.
In the house, the open plan lounge diner with kitchenette is impeccably presented. It is a very comfortable space and the space is well utilised. The first bedroom is off this room it's a single (presented with bunks).
At the other end of the house is a corridor leading to Bedrooms 2 & 3 and the bathroom. You will be impressed by the space within, as well as the amount of light. The second is a double room and the third is large enough to accommodate a double and single. The bathroom is fitted out to modern requirements. Panelling and tiled floor finish it.
Another massive bonus of this house is a detached workshop which is large enough for home office or indeed a therapy or meeting room it has electricity and is connected to the heating system, so it's ready to go!
All that remains to be said of this house is that it's so charming that you're guaranteed to fall for it!
