Perfect both for adventure lovers or those who just like to pause and relax, one can stroll for 3 minutes to swim in the Pollock Holes, Kilkee’s renowned natural rock pools, or, when the tide comes in, take a leap off the diving boards at Newfoundout/Newfy, just down the steps outside the front door. The real adventurers can give NevSail a call and absail down cliffs or kayak/sail/currach around the bay. There are a multitude of memorable places to swim and walk apart from the safe beach. Just ask the locals! The family running the Diamond Rocks Cafe down the hill should be able to give you some good tips.

Take a drive to Doonbeg Golf Club, Loophead Lighthouse, The Cliffs of Moher or visit The Long Dock in Carrigaholt for a great seafood lunch. Take in some traditional music in the local pubs or in Miltown Malbay. Go for a surf in Doonbeg, Spanish Point or Lahinch. Round off the day by the fire in the Greyhound Pub for a quiet pint.
