Old World Charm with Modern Comforts
The holiday cottage combines old world charm with modern comforts. It has comfortable accommodation for 7 adults and 2 children in 5 bedrooms. There is a ground floor wet room and a first floor bathroom.
The traditional style living room has a wood burning stove and rough stonewalls which have been painted to give the original lime washed look. There are large gardens to the front and rear featuring a swing and a climbing frame.
The historic town of Ballyshannon is just a few minutes drive from the holiday home. Reputed to be the oldest town in Ireland, Ballyshannon is located at a point where the mighty Erne system meets the sea. Today it is vibrant town with a good selection of cafes, restaurants, pubs and shops.
A number of major festivals take place in the town annually – The Rory Gallagher International Tribute Festival, The Ballyshannon Folk Festival, The Allingham Arts Festival and the Ballyshannon Drama Festival.
Ideal Tour Base
Coast View Cottage is an ideal base for exploring not only County Donegal but also the 3 other counties on its doorstep - Sligo, Leitrim and Fermanagh. Within less than an hours drive of the holiday home the visitor will find historic Donegal Town, the Marble Arch Caves, the Ulster American Folk Park, Belleek Pottery, Yeats Country, Sligo Town, Mullaghmore, Lissadell House and the Fermanagh Lakelands.
The fabulous Lough Erne Golf Resort is only 45 minutes drive away. With recent access improvements the magnificent Slieve League Cliffs in South West Donegal are proving a major tourist attraction.
