Once described in Irish Times editorial as the Dalkey of the midlands, Glasson Village also known locally as the Village of the Roses is the jewel in the crown of Co. Westmeath. Located close to the shores of Lough Ree, Glasson is only five minutes-drive north of Athlone town on the N55. Key attractions close-by are the Christy O'Connor Jnr. designed Glasson Golf Club and Hotel, Lough Ree, the River Shannon and Athlone town with its numerous visitor attractions. Glasson is also only a ten minute drive from the newly developed centre parcs holiday campus at Ballymahon.
