Garryurra is a true lakeside gem, sitting on the shores of Lough Derg, offering spectacular views and the upmost privacy.
The house was originally built as a dower house for the neighbouring property, St. David's. Since purchasing the property in 2000, the current owners have spared nothing transforming Garryurra to the wonderful home it is today. The house has been greatly enlarged and the bright spacious accommodation is laid out to take best advantage of the lake views. They sourced the finest quality materials and craftsmen to ensure the highest standard of finish. Of note are the kitchen and mahogany library units which were custom made by Christian's. The floors are wide plank Hickory wood and the main reception rooms feature double glazed Marvin sliding doors, all opening to the sheltered patio that runs the length of the house.
The grounds surrounding the house are all part and parcel of what makes Garryurra so special. Garryurra has its own deep harbour and slipway which is approached by a shallow channel from Lough Derg. Lawns sweep down to the lakeside and the fishing deck and walkways have been created through the mature lakeside woodlands. To the side of the house is found the Angela Jupe designed wall garden with its display of flowers and plants all sheltered by the red brick walls.
The property boasts the upmost privacy with a high granite wall running the length of the road side and hidden from the lakeside, as it sits within its own small inlet. Directly across the lake is the Lough Derg Yacht Club ...
