Description
DNG Martin O'Connor Auctioneers are delighted to be able to present this wonderfully situated family home on a 0.99 Ha (2.45 Acres) site with direct lake frontage and large private mooring on to Lough Corrib, Ireland's premier fresh water angling lake. Known as 'Carron' the property enjoys panoramic views of Portacarron Bay and some of its islands. This dream property is one of three similar Lake shore residences constructed in the late 1970's designed to capture the magnificent views the grounds enjoy. Surrounded by mature gardens which have been meticulously maintained the property enjoys excellent privacy and offers tremendous opportunity to develop the gardens further to the rear. Enjoying the best of all worlds its unique setting gives one the opportunity to have a lake side home and be in easy commuting distance to the city and essential amenities such as shopping, education and recreational activities for the family. The property is located within a five minute drive to Oughterard Golf Course and village. The house set back from the water is approached by a graveled driveway that leads to the rear of the property to an open carport and various outbuildings. Entering the house you are greeted with the large sun lounge / entrance hall which leads to the inner hall. The principle rooms of the living room and dining room feature large picture windows with breath taking views of the front garden and of course the lake. The kitchen has been fully renovated in recent times to provide a high quality white kitchen with Corian worktops. Leading off the kitchen is the spacious utility/rod room which leads to the converted garage which makes a lovely Annex or would be ideal for further accommodation (SPP). The spacious carport to the rear of the house can easily accommodate two cars, it is accessible off the utility room. The remaining accommodation consists of two large bedrooms with full en-suite bathrooms and a third bedroom with a shower room. Upstairs the extremely spacious attic is ideal for conversion (SPP) to further accommodation extends to 67'3" x 14'0" between the purlins. This comfortable home is presented in very good order and is ready for immediate occupancy. With a creative mind the property could be further transformed into a coveted lakeside home with so much to offer for all the family. Viewings of this unique property are highly advised to avoid disappointment as rarely do such fine properties be offered for sale in the area.
