Rosbeg House is a lovely 2 bedroom holiday home set in peaceful countryside on Dawros Head in South West Donegal. The holiday home is less than 1km from the quaint harbour at Rosbeg and just 5km from the twin coastal villages of Narin and Portnoo - the location of a Blue Flag Beach and a top class links golf course. Rosbeg House is a refurbished farm homestead. It has a bright open plan ground floor with living, kitchen and dining areas. There are 2 bedrooms and a bathroom located on the first floor. Rosbeg Rosbeg is a small coastal community with a pier and a sandy beach. It is surrounded by ruggedly beautiful coastline and lies along the route of the Wild Atlantic Way. The local Dawros Bay House & Joe's Seafood Bar in Rosbeg has one of the best views of any pub in Ireland and is a frequent award winner for its food. Sheskinmore Nature Reserve The wonderful Sheskinmore Nature Reserve is literally on the doorstep of the holiday home. Sheskinmore refers to a large area of sand dunes, lake and marsh that lies between Kiltooris and Ballinreavy Strand. It is regarded as one of the most important Nature Reserves in Ireland and has been designated as a Special Area of Conservation (SAC), a Special Protection Area (SPA) and a Wildfowl Sanctuary. Sheskinmore is open to the public all year round and offers families & nature enthusiasts many of the beautiful wonders of nature unique to Ireland. Ardara and Glenties Rosbeg House is situated 18km from the picturesque town of Glenties (3-time winner of all Ireland Tidy Town Competition) and just 14km from the Heritage Town of Ardara, famous for its hand-woven tweed and hand-knit sweaters. Both towns are well served with shops, cafes, craft outlets and lively pubs. Traditional Irish music is strong in this general area. Local Attractions / Amenities Golf at Narin & Portnoo Golf Club or play pitch and putt at Sandfield Enjoy some of the beautiful unspoilt beaches in the locality -Tramore Strand, Naran Strand and White Strand Visit some of the many ancient monuments in the countryside around the holiday home including Lough Doon Ring Fort, Inishkeel Island, the Kilclooney Dolmen, and Ardara Fort at Hillhead.
