Clonmany is a village in north-west Inishowen, in Co. Donegal, Ireland. The name of the town in Irish - "Cluain Maine" is translated as "The Meadow of the Monks". The area has many natural points of interest and the Ballyliffin area is famous for its golf course.
The Urris area to the west of the village was the last stronghold of the Irish language in Inishowen. In the last century, the north Inishowen area was renowned as a location of poitÃn distillation.
Clonmany's has three annual festivals. Clonmany Festival, attracts the and not so with its fun filled week long events. The McGlinchey Summer School looks at the history of the North West and The Inishowen Singing Circle is an concentrated weekend of traditional music and seminars.
