DescriptionOakwell Holiday Village is a lovely development set in tranquil countryside along the shores of Lough Swilly. It consists of mixture of different types of self catering accommodation which all blend into the local landscape. These include restored farm buildings and outhouses, modern barn style chalets, Shepherd huts and bell tents. The holiday village is about 6km outside the heritage town of Ramelton and it provides a tranquil base to explore the Wild Atlantic Way in North Donegal.

Oakwell Holiday Village features free WiFi, and guests can enjoy a garden, a shared lounge and a terrace. There is a wellness area on site that has a hot tub and a sauna. There is also a children's playground available for guests to use.

Ramelton - A Heritage Town
Oakwell Holiday Village is just a 5 minute drive from the Heritage Town of Ramelton. This picturesque town has managed to retain much of its old world charm and character through preserving many of the wonderful historical Georgian buildings that give the village a distinctive identity in this part of Ireland. The village is not only blessed with wonderful architecture, but also with a beautiful location on the banks of the River Lennon.
The village has many quaint pubs - the Bridge Bar is a highly regarded music venue while Conway's Pub enables the visitor to take a step back in time. The weekly Country Market is renowned for fresh vegetables, home baking and local handcrafted gifts.

County Donegal as a whole is renowned for its unspoilt beauty, superb blue flag beaches, rugged landscapes and its heritage including the breathtaking Gleanveagh National Park. Oakwell Holiday Village has a central location in the county and this makes it an ideal base to tour this beautiful part of Ireland. The spectacular landscapes of the Fanad, Rosguill and Inishowen Peninsulas, the unspoilt Donegal Highlands and the ancient and historic walled City of Derry are all with an hours drive.
