Number 43 is a wonderful family base from which to explore County Sligo. Area The civil parish of Ballinode is a mile from the town of Sligo in County Sligo. There is a convenience store and a pub, while Sligo offers a wider range of amenities. Sligo is known for its rugged coastline and excellent watersports opportunities at any of its wonderful beaches. Visit the 15th century preserved abbey and learn about the strong literary heritage and connection to poet Willian Butler Yeats at Yeats Building. Discover the ancient woodland of Hazlewood Forest as well as Glencar Waterfall and Glencar Lough, which is also visible from the top of Copes mountain. Head to Strandhill for an array of fantastic beaches, as well as a coastal golf course and array of attractions. You are within a short drive of the magnificent Wild Atlantic Way, making this a fantastic location for exploring the coast and countryside of County Sligo.
