Lake View is also situated in Donegal's Gaeltacht Lar (central Gaeltacht) which is located between Gweebara Bay, Gleann Fhinne, and Glendowen. The Irish Language is spoken here and traditions of Irish song, dance and folklore prevail. Music sessions can be found in the pubs of nearby Fintown village â€“ The Railway Inn and Teach Ceol.
For railway enthusiasts, Fintown has a little gem to offer. The Fintown Railway is a restored section of the former County Donegal Railway and is the only working railway in County Donegal. This narrow gauge railway runs for 5km along the shores of beautiful Lough Finn.
