Fir Lodge is a lovely 3 bedroom holiday home with a tranquil hillside setting overlooking Glenswilly right in the heart of Co Donegal. With a location just 8 minutes drive from Letterkenny this cottage really has the best of both worlds  -  a tranquil rural setting yet with all the benefits of a vibrant modern town a short distance away. Not only that, but it is also a central base to explore the beautiful Donegal Highlands. This newly built holiday home has 3 double bedrooms -  2 are ensuite and all have TVs. There is a large shower room on the ground floor. A neat open plan area has a fully fitted modern kitchen, a breakfast bar style dining table and a living space with comfortable seating and a 40 inch flatscreen tv.   The holiday home is highly insulated and has a wood burning stove with back boiler. An outside patio area enjoys lovely views over the valley below.  All around the cottage the visitor will find numerous peaceful roads, country lanes and mountain tracks to walk.  Letterkenny - A Vibrant Modern Town  Letterkenny Town Centre is just over 8 minutes by car from the holiday home. This modern town has a 5 screen cinema, indoor play centres, a karting centre, a superb modern leisure centre, two landscaped urban parks with playgrounds, An Grianan Theatre, the Regional Cultural Centre, the Donegal County Museum, a golf course and a wide variety of shopping and restaurants An Ideal Touring Base Fir Lodge has a central location in Co Donegal and this makes it an ideal base to tour this beautiful part of Ireland. The spectacular landscapes of the Fanad, Rosguill and Inishowen Peninsulas, the unspoilt Donegal Highlands and the ancient and historic walled City of Derry are all with an hours drive of the holiday home.  A number of major attractions are much closer including the award wining Newmills Corn & Flax Mills (2.5km), The Colmcille Heritage Centre and Glebe House Gallery in nearby Churchill (9km) and the Fintown Railway (20km).
