The cottage is just 3km from the vibrant beach and golf resort of Dunfanaghy and 5km from Ards Forest Park. It also lies along the route of the Wild Atlantic Way
Portnablagh
From the front door it is less than 2km to the quaint Portnablagh Harbour and beach. Portnablagh is a popular angling, sailing and boating venue. It has a number of art galleries including the Buttermilk Art Cafe which overlooks the harbour. The Cove is a well established restaurant in the village
Marble Hill
Marble Hill is 2.5km from the cottage. This small resort centers around the wonderful Marble Hill Strand on the shores of Sheephaven Bay. The beach is sheltered by Breaghy Head and is popular with water sports of all kinds. The Shandon Hotel overlooks the beach. It has restaurant and bar food dining as well as top class Spa treatment facilities.
Dunfanaghy
Dunfanahy is just a few minutes drive from the cottage. This vibrant seaside town has a wonderful setting on the shores of Sheephaven Bay with the Horn Head Peninsula just to the north and Muckish Mountain providing a dramatic backdrop.
Dunfanaghy has the beautiful Killahoey Blue Flag Beach and a fine 18 hole links golf course. It is well served with shops, cafes, art galleries, craft outlets and lively pubs. It has several watersports centers as well as an equestrian centre attached to the local Arnold's Hotel. On the shores of New Lake on the outskirts of the town is the award winning Mill Restaurant.
