The visitor can use the Wild Atlantic Way to explore the ruggedly beautiful coastline of the peninsula which is dotted with hidden coves, rocky headlands and outcrops..Irelands most Northerly point is Banbas Crown at Malin Head which is a Signature Point on the Wild Atlantic Way. Dolphins and Basking sharks are frequent visitors to the waters around Malin Head.
The narrow winding coastal roads and inland mountain tracks around Greencastle provide ideal walking terrain for the keen rambler. The Inishowen Peninsula in general has managed to retained a good number of traditional thatched cottages which adds to the attractiveness of the landscape.
