Buncrana Beach House is unique holiday home with a stunning location overlooking the beautiful Porthaw Beach on the shores of Lough Swilly and only 3 minutes walk from the beach. It is an ideal place from which to explore the northerly part of Wild Altantic Way. Hygge is a Danish word which means creating a nice, warm atmosphere and enjoying the good things in life with good people around you. This holiday home has been designed with the Hygge concept in mind to offer a quality of cosiness and comfort that is sure to engender a feeling of contentment and well-being. A Unique Holiday Home with a Stunning Location The setting of the holiday home on its own will engender a feeling of relaxation.  It is situated on an elevated site overlooking the golden sands of Pothaw Beach. From the house, there are wonderful views over the beach and Lough Swilly towards the hills of the beautiful Fanad Peninsula. The holiday home has been designed to take full advantage of the lovely views outside. On the first floor level, there are large windows in both the living area and the bedroom which offer panoramic sea views. Both rooms also have direct access to a balcony. The balcony has canopy cover and is furnished with table and chairs.  On the ground floor level, there are also large windows in the kitchen and dining area. There is direct access from the dining area out to the garden via double glass doors.  The garden has herbs, fruit and vegetables growing that can be used in the kitchen.  There is also a patio area with outdoor furniture. A Tranquil Base to Explore the Inishowen Peninsula With a location just 2.5 km north of Buncrana Town this holiday home has the best of both worlds - a tranquil beach side setting yet with all the benefits of a vibrant modern town a short distance away.  Not only that, but it is also a central base to explore the beautiful Inishowen Peninsula and the historic Walled City of Derry.  Wild Atlantic Way Buncrana Beach House lies along the route of the Wild Atlantic Way. The visitor can use this scenic driving route to explore this ruggedly beautiful part of Ireland. The coastline around the holiday home is dotted with hidden coves, rocky headlands and outcrops which are home to a large variety of seabirds. The narrow winding coastal roads and inland mountain tracks also provide ideal walking terrain for the keen rambler Some major tourist attractions and amenities within easy driving distance include the wonderful Famine Village on the Isle of Doagh,  the Fort Dunree Military Museum,  the Inishowen Maritime Museum and Planetarium in Greencastle and the superb Ballyliffin Golf Club.
