***ATLANTIC VIEW  REOPENING  FOR RENTAL FROM Sat 16th June 2018 (taking bookings now)*** Atlantic View is a 3 bedroom holiday home with a stunning coastal setting at the foot of Knockfola Mountain in north west Donegal.  The holiday home enjoys uninterrupted views towards Tory Island and the Atlantic Ocean beyond.  It is located on a half acre fenced in garden on a tranquil stretch of the Wild Atlantic Way between Derrybeg and Magheraroarty Superb Ocean Views Most of the rooms in the holiday home take advantage of the ocean views outside. The living room is comfortably furnished and has an open fireplace. The well equipped kitchen has a breakfast bar. The dining area enjoys sea and mountain views.  There are 3 bedrooms and a bathroom - 2 of the bedrooms are ensuite The holiday home is on over half acre of lawned and fenced in garden with uninterrupted views of Tory Island and Inisbofin.  There is a large parking area around the property.  A picnic bench is located on an elevated area to the side of the house with stunning views of Knocfola behind and the ocean in front. A Gaeltacht Region The area around the holiday home abounds with stunning scenery, from the spectacular Bloody Foreland to the beautiful beaches at Bunbeg and Carrickfinn and from the majestic Mount Errigal  to the rugged offshore islands of Tory, Inishboffin and Gola. The nearby villages of Derrybeg and Bunbeg lie in the heart of the Irish-speaking Gweedore Gaeltacht. Staying at Atlantic View will enable the visitor to absorb the culture and heritage of this unique region where Irish is still the main everyday language.  Local Activities / Attractions 
  • Enjoy beautiful unspoilt beaches in the locality - Port Arthur beach in Derrybeg and Magheraroarty Beach are both Green Coast Award Beaches
  • Golf on nearby Gweedore Golf Club – a challenging 9 hole course.  Other courses in the region include Cloughaneely and Dunfanaghy
  • Visit Dunlewey Lakeside Centre - Facilities include restaurant, tea-room, craft shop,  adventure play areas, pets & animals, storytelling, boat trips on Dunlewey Lake, guided tours and weaving demonstrations. 
  • Find numerous peaceful roads, country lanes and mountain tracks to walk. Slí an Earagail - a Bealach na Gaeltachta Waymarked Way - covers much of the area around the holiday home
  • Fish for salmon on the Clady river 
  • Take a day trip to Tory Island. The ferry service to Tory Island is available from nearby Magheraroarty several times a day - weather permitting
  • Climb Muckish and Errigal. Mount Errigal, the highest mountain in Donegal is a demanding climb and once on the summit you can see for miles around. 
  • Visit Glenveagh National Park, with 16,000 hectares of mountains, lakes, wood and bogs. Glenveagh contains the largest red deer population in Europe.  Within the National Park Glenveagh Castle and gardens are well worth a visit on their own
