The subject property is situated in the townland of Drummuck approx. 6km south‐east of the village of Stradone, Co. Cavan. The quarry is conveniently situated within 3.5km of the nearest junction on the N3 national primary road (at The Lavey Inn) which provides easy access to Cavan (15km north‐west) and Navan & Dublin (53km & 100km south‐east respectively). The N3 also provides easy access to the M50 Motorway (90km) which links Dublin with the major arterial routes nationwide.

The subject property extends to approx. 94.5 acres and currently comprises of an existing quarry, site office, a large workshop and a precast manufacturing shed. The main entrance to the property is located on Local Road L3500 which can be accessed from the R165 Lavey‐Bailieboro road. The eastern element of the property comprises of an existing quarry while the western element of the lands are in agricultural use.

Planning Reg. Ref. No. 07/827 ‐ Current Extraction Area
Planning permission was granted by Cavan County Council on the 5th May 2008 in relation to the existing quarry area to continue working the quarrying facility. The quarry and all ancillary site works extend to an area of 23 hectares. The existing extraction area extends to approx. 6.3 hectares (15.5 acres).

Planning Reg. Ref. No. 12/101 ‐ New Extraction Area
On the 27th November 2012, Cavan County Council granted a 10 year planning permission for an extension to the existing quarry site. The new permitted extraction area extends to approx. 4 hectares (10 acres).
