Donegal Shore House, Cruit Lower, Kincasslagh, Co. Donegal, F94 A2P2

Description

A magnificent coastal property with spectacular sea views Donegal Shore House is a superbly located property on the cliff edge with breath-taking views over the Atlantic Ocean. The property is approached through wrought iron gates, which open to an attractive block-paved driveaway flanked by terraced lawns and leads to a parking area to the front of the house. The house is superbly located on an elevated position on the cliff's edge, with breath-taking views over the Atlantic Ocean. The house has been beautifully designed to take advantage of the spectacular, panoramic views over the bay and surrounding scenery. The front door opens into a semi-circular entrance hall joining a beautiful proportioned reception hall with galleried landing and an ornate fireplace with pillared marble surround. The reception hall leads to a further inner hallway which gives access to three bedrooms (all en suite), a study, drawing room and kitchen. The kitchen is an exceptionally designed room with a beautifully crafted and extensive range of floor and wall mounted units with granite topped surfaces. Walking through the kitchen is a morning room followed by the dining room. The dining room is a magnificent split-level open plan room, which is beautifully finished with an ornate electric fire enclosed in marble, providing an elegant feature. The room is glass fronted which allows for spectacular views out onto the bay. The first floor comprises three en suite bedrooms in total. The master bedroom suite is an impressive and well proportioned room with access to a large balcony that captures the spectacular views of the bay across to Carrickfinn. It includes a two-storey dressing room with an extensive range of fitted and built-in cupboards and wardrobes. The master suite includes a bathroom with a jacuzzi whirlpool bath, which is elevated and inset to a mosaic tiled bay window with stunning sea views. The second floor includes a landing with access to two further bedrooms and a store room. The gardens are laid out in a series of terraced lawns and are separated by a variety of pathways and pretty stone walls. To the rear are two paved terraced seating areas which can be accessed from the main reception room and lead down via block paved steps to a fabulous decked lookout point, positioned on the edge of the cliffs. The panoramic views are entirely uninterrupted and allow this beautiful scenery to be appreciated across this Atlantic inlet between Cruit Island and the Donegal mainland. To the northern edge of the garden, a series of steps and paths lead down to a timber-built summer house with extensive decking and a barbeque area for outdoor entertainment. Outbuildings: Situated to the front of the house is a triple garage and plant room extending in size to about 1,647 sq ft. It has lofted storage. Photographs taken in April 2019.
