Description
AUCTION SOLD Occupying a prominent position on Morehampton Road, Donnybrook, right in the heart of Dublin 4, this Victorian (c.1870) family home of c.332 sq.m (c.3,578 sq.ft.) is striking in it’s prominence on the street, with it’s row of houses standing higher than street level. This multi award-winning residence (including “Best House” 2010 - Irish Architecture Awards) has undergone an extensive and sympathetic refurbishment by TAKA Architects to a very high specification of exacting standards, and now offers bright spacious accommodation which benefits from restoration of all period features both externally and internally. Rooms of elegant proportions enjoy a tasteful decorative style, and modern comforts harmonise with the period charm of the original house which has been totally transformed with a great sense of flair, resulting in a really special family home. Morehampton Road is one of the most sought after addresses in Dublin, being within a short stroll of the City Centre, and close to St Vincents Hospital, RTE and UCD. A selection of fine schools are nearby by including St Michaels, Gonzaga College, Sandford Park, the Teresian School and Muckross Park. Donnybrook Village with it’s range of amenities offering local shopping, boutiques, cafes and eateries is adjacent.
