Description(Reference number: 72992)
We love this Tuscan villa for a truly unique taste of Italy. You’d never guess that this quirky home overlooking green valleys and surrounded by hills and cypress trees is just 7km from the delights of Florence. Set in 30 acres of land you can spend days hiking the woodland trails and exploring the vineyard and olive grove. This place loves to surprise and that classic stone façade is hiding a bevvy of secrets – from the Perspex foosball table guarded by a suit of armour in the main living room to the sixties-style wet bar in the adjacent sunroom. The ceilings all feature classic exposed timber beams, and Turkish rugs soften the tiled floors, while trinkets and antiques line marble mantelpieces. Dark wood antique furniture sits side by side with intriguing works of art on the walls. The high-spec kitchen is decidedly modern, but dinner served in the formal dining room or outside on the pool terrace is a rustic affair. Outside it’s the infinity-edge pool with integrated jacuzzi jets that really caught our eye, framed by an unmissable view of forest-clad hills. While you might find it hard to draw yourself from this beautiful home, you also won’t want to miss out on exploring Tuscany. Beyond day trips to Florence, you might want to head to lovely Lucca or see the leaning tower at Pisa, all an easy drive away.
