(Reference number: 142658) This charming cottage sits on a chalk headland within the grounds of a lighthouse above Broadstairs. You'll be glad to know this lighthouse doesn't have a fog signal, so there'll be no jumping out of your skin. You may leap for joy, though, when you see the shared one-acre lawned garden and patio (all set well away from the cliffs, so the property is child-friendly too). Inside the home, there are some lovely views from upstairs, but we'd say the kitchen is quite narrow in areas, though it's well-equipped. Or if you prefer to eat out, there's a pub within a ten-minute stroll. Nearby, Broadstairs has sandy beaches and an old town to explore too. Home truths: *The gardens and patio are shared with one other cottage. *A complimentary starter pack contains fresh coffee, tea, sugar, milk and biscuits. *This is a heritage building with steep stairs and uneven floors. *Your host can provide a cot and high chair for free. *There's a very limited mobile signal here, but there is a telephone with an honesty box. Also, the wi-fi speed and availability cannot be guaranteed at this site. *Sorry, no barbecues are permitted. *The lighthouse and equipment need regular and sometimes emergency maintenance. Therefore visits by maintenance staff may occur during your stay. *There's free parking here. Access roads to the lighthouse site are narrow. . Thinking of selling?
