Home truths: * All the bedrooms are on the upper floors, so this home isn't suitable if anyone in your group has limited mobility or difficulty with stairs. * One of the bedrooms is located in a self-contained apartment above the owners’ mews, separate from the main house. * Well-behaved pets are welcome to accompany you during your stay. * Your host – along with her two dachshunds – lives on site in a separate apartment, so you'll have neighbours nearby even though the home itself is privately yours. * You'll want a car for this stay – Dalkeith is a short drive from Edinburgh and the surrounding area, and the home sits on a rural estate rather than within walking distance of shops or restaurants. * If you're travelling with little ones, your host can provide a cot and high chair.
