The underfloor heating and wood-burning stove create a welcoming home to return to after a day of rambling, and we love that each room has its own ensuite – perfect for coordinated efforts to get outside promptly in the mornings. The interior is homely, if unspectacular, but the terrace with a hot tub and barbeque is a great touch. You'll never be bored here, either, with the host able to arrange all manner of fun activities, ranging from highly active (think axe throwing) to the downright indulgent (afternoon tea, anyone?). Home truths: *If you're travelling with little ones, your host can provide a cot and high chair for free. You'll need to request them in advance and provide your own linen. *Two well-behaved dogs are welcome to accompany you during your stay. *All the bedrooms and bathrooms are upstairs here. *Due to this home's location, we recommend hiring a car to get the most out of your stay.
