ABOUT THE AREA

Bulusan, officially the Municipality of Bulusan, is a 4th class municipality in the province of Sorsogon, Philippines. According to the 2020 census, it has a population of 23,932 people. Bulusan Volcano stands 1,565 meters above sea level with a base area of approximately 400 kilometers. There are three (3) lakes within Bulusan Volcano, namely Bulusan Lake which lies at the foot of the volcano, Lake Aguingay which is halfway to the volcano and the Blackbirds' Lake, which is near the summit of Bulusan Volcano.

Given the above-cited areas, Bulusan is an ideal place for mountaineering, water sports adventure and ecological trekking considering that environmental and biodiversity awareness is common to both local and foreign tourists.
