Today, the settlement hosts a variety of shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs, catering for all tastes. Visitors can enjoy many excellent walks and cycle routes through the surrounding countryside, or alternatively explore the magnificent Howgill Fells and the Settle to Carlisle railway line.
