The remarkable neolithic site at Céide Fields containing the oldest known stone-walled fields in the world dating back nearly 6,000 years, is just 40 minutes away. Pack a picnic and head to the Ballycroy National Park for the day just 20 minutes away. The park is also is also Irelands 1st International Dark Sky Park, but you don't need to head to the park, you can cosy up with a hot chocolate and enjoy the skies from right out side the house!Belmullet is just 25 minute drive away and has large supermarkets, places to eat and the peninsula has beautiful white beaches. Call down to the Blacksod Lighthouse and find out their involvement in the D Day landings.
