Set one street back from the sea - and a five-minute walk to the pier - this converted loft is a romantic bolthole in the heart of the Kent town. It's undeniably small, but good things come in little packages here: with a black metal bed, cosy two-seater sofa, and kitchen all brightened by sunshine from the skylights. There's some Riviera chic in there too; we love the aqua marine bathroom, with a deep tub for soaking, while in the lounge reclaimed wooden furniture and French posters sing of the sea. For sunny days, Deal's beach is a two-minute skip, as are the adorable pubs and restaurants. Home truths: *The armchair in the lounge can be converted into a small single bed for a child, though this will make the room feel very small *The kitchen has a small table and chairs, with space for two people – though if there are three of you, pubs and restaurants are only a short walk away *The home is in the loft of a building, so there are several stairs to reach it – we don't recommend this home for guests with reduced mobility *Taller guests may struggle with this home *This home is accessed via an alleyway .
