Features

About Us Since opening in 2001 Draíocht has reached right to the heart of the people it serves in Dublin 15 and its environs to provide stimulating and accessible arts programming. Over 50,000 people a year attend performance events including a mix of professional, national, international and local work. In addition, thousands more attend our two exhibition galleries, use our conference facilities and enjoy the facilities of our Bar and Café. We aspire to reaching as wide an audience as possible and our commitment to access for all to the facilities and activities of the Centre forms the backbone of all our endeavours. Draíocht has 2 state of the art theatres which accommodate 286 and 92 people. The multi-purpose theatres are used for a broad range of activities, including drama (both professional and community), dance, contemporary visual arts and crafts, multi-media arts activities, classical and traditional music. Draíocht has a team of highly skilled staff who oversee a very busy programme of events and a building with excellent facilities. Draíocht attracts high profile performers and productions. Draíocht was the venue of choice for many RTE productions such as The Panel, Colm & Jim Jims Home Run, The Byrne Ultimatum, Celebrity Operation Transformation and many more.
