From here the main kitchen living dining area is accessed. The is a light filled space with a vaulted ceiling supported by wooden structural beams imported from Germany. The room features solid wood floors and a wood burning stove. The kitchen features high gloss units, solid wood countertops and integrated appliances. Ancillary to the kitchen a guest toilet, a utility room and access to a courtyard to the side of the house. There is a mezzanine level, that is accessed through one of the bedrooms. The mezzanine looks over the living space and would make an ideal home office. Glass sliding doors lead through to a comfortable living space. This area features an inbuilt wood burning stove and sliding doors that lead out to the courtyard. This together with the corridor leading down to the bedrooms forms part of the new structure. The master bedroom features a wood burning stove, built in wardrobes, deep pile carpets, sliding doors accessing the courtyard and an ensuite bathroom. The ensuite has a two sinks, a solid wood vanity unit, large format tiling and a skylight. The bedroom opposite features wooden floors, built in book shelves and looks out to the courtyard. A corridor leads down to the another bedroom, which features built in wardrobes, wooden floors and access’s the attic which is used for storage. The shower room features a monsoon shower and walk in shower with mosaic tiling. The Shanty benefits from an idyllic location set amongst lakes and forestry. A very short walk away is a Coillte Forest with a number of trails. The house is a 9 minute drive to Saggart Village where there is a regular tram service into the City Centre and the M50 is an 18 minute drive away.
