The subject lands are located on the southeast corner of Inishturk, a beautiful unspoilt island, located approximately 10 miles off the west Mayo coast. This is a truly stunning unspoilt rural location, which offers some of the most stunning coastal scenery in all of Ireland.
Inishturk Island has a resident population of approximately 55 people and is well serviced with a newly constructed harbour, and ESB power plant and a new water system. On the island, there is also a vibrant community centre, Roman Catholic Church, newly developed health centre, shop and Post Office.
Inishturk has for many years been hugely popular as a visitor and tourist location, given it's unspoilt surrounding and incredible scenery.
The lands to be sold extend to approximately 0.75 of an acre and are located in the townland of Bellavaum, situate on towards the southeast corner of Inishturk Island. Easy access is provided to the lands, given that they have direct road access off the local access road, running from the harbour to the western end of the island. The lands rise very gradually from their boundary at the east, to the west and are being offered for sale on a subject to Planning Permission basis for the development and construction of a single dwelling house. Please note that the exact site boundaries of the lands for sale have not yet been fully identified and marked.
The lands can be serviced from a local Group Water Scheme and connected to both electricity and telecom, available elsewhere on the island.
