The Studio We have a studio at the back of the garden. It has been furnished to the highest spec with everything new. We believe if we wouldn't live in it then we wouldn't expect anyone else to do so! It is beautifully finished. The studio comprises kitchen come living room, bathroom and bedroom. The bedroom has a comfortable elevated double bed with a gorgeous headboard. The bed sits above the storage space made up of wardrobes, drawers and cubed units. There is a lot of storage space. The bathroom is ensuite and comes with a washbasin, cabinet, and shower cabin with an excellent shower. The kitchenette is open plan with the sitting area. The kitchen has all modern conveniences and appliances including a hob surface for cooking. Cutlery and crockery are provided along with several cupboards and a sink. There is a dining table with seats too. The sitting room has a beautiful blue two-person sofa which is very comfortable. There is a small coffee table too. Mounted on the wall above the fireplace is a flat-screen TV for entertainment. It also has WiFi and Netflix. Hot Water on demand. Lots of power points in the studio. It has a separate entrance through the garage. We put a lot of hard work into the design and making this studio as comfortable as possible, so it will feel like a home away from home! The garden is lovely too with outdoor seating, a patio and shrubs and plants. The Location The studio is located in Crumlin, Dublin 12. The nearest bus stop is just a 2 minute walk and it services numerous bus routes including the route number 17 which goes directly to University College Dublin (UCD). The bus route 150 goes to Trinity College (TCD) and the city centre it will take you there in just 30 minutes. There is also the bus route number 9 which goes directly to Dublin City University (DCU). Griffith College is just a 45 minute walk from the house however there are also buses which pass by. And there are also plenty of buses that go to Tallaght IT (ITT). It is in an excellent location as Crumlin Village is just 2 minutes’ walk and it has all amenities close by including the Ashleaf Shopping Centre which has a large Dunnes Stores supermarket and many take away restaurants, bank and an ATM. There are a number of parks in the area, Stanaway and Pearse Park which are close by and would be ideal for outdoor activities. The location is ideal for almost any student in Dublin because it is easy to access the city centre and surrounding universities and third level institutes. The Host Patrick and I are in our early sixties. I have recently retired, and Patrick is a Gas Engineer and still works. We have 3 sons in their 30's. They have all left home now and were students themselves in UCD, DCU and IT. We love meeting people and like to travel a lot. We like socialising, cinema, walking and I particularly like playing Scrabble! We have an understanding of students since we had to put the three boys through college. We are flexible and will do what we can to help. We offer a quiet place to study and a home from home environment. If anything is needed just ask! We love living in Crumlin as we have access to all amenities. We would be very welcoming to any future students or interns who choose to stay with us and hope that we can offer good hospitality.
