Single room available in a family home in Finglas, Dublin, available from 1st January 2027 to 1st June 2027 (or end of May), so it's ideal for a student.
Both a 15 minute walk to Charlestown Shopping Centre and Finglas Village. The F2 bus stop is a 2 minute walk away from the house, which leaves you into the city centre in 25 minutes. Ideal for DCU or Trinity College students.
The room is freshly painted with new bedding (duvet, cover, pillow and sheets). There is a large wardrobe, bed side locker, desk, office chair, desk lamp and mirror. Storage boxes can fit under the bed too for more space. You'll have a lock and key of course.
The external walls of the house, attic and bedroom sloped ceilings were insulated last year and is a C2 energy rating. A new boiler was also fitted and new radiators and air vents.
DCU Glasnevin campus is around a 30 minute journey from the property via public transport. The N4 bus stop is a 10 minute walk away from the house, then the N4 bus takes 10 minutes (12 stops) followed by a 5 minute walk to the campus (Collin's Avenue entrance). Alternatively, you can take the F2 bus, which is a 3 minute walk from the house, to Glasnevin (Hart's Corner/St. Vincent's School) which takes 11 minutes (14 stops) and then take the E2 bus which takes 7 minutes (10 stops) to reach the Albert College entrance on Ballymun Road. To reach St. Patrick's campus, you can get the F2 bus to the end of Whitworth Road in Drumcondra (20 minute bus ride) and then take a 5 minute bus to the St. Patrick's campus. Similiar route to All Hallow's Campus with a bus to Drumcondra first.
There is a centra, pharmacy and take aways a 3 minute walk away from the house. Lidl and Aldi are a 15 minute walk away. The Finglas Leisure centre with a pool, sauna and gym is a 15 minute walk away. The Flyfit Gym is located in Tesco Clearwater which is a 25 minute walk away or 5 minute bus journey (F2). The Botanic Gardens and Phibsboro (with lots of restaurants and bars) can be reached by a ten minute bus journey and short walk.
Charlestown Shopping Centre is a 15 minute walk away and has a large Odeon cinema (you can (you can use our cinema pass when not in use) Leisure Plex with Bowling and Pool, a Boots Pharmacy, Eddie Rockets, KFC and McDonalds. They also have Shallots (the best Indian take away in our opinion).
We have a large kitchen with a fridge, cooker with 2 oven's and 4 hobs, microwave, kettle, washing machine/dryer in one, clothes drying rack, iron, toaster, toastie maker, coffee machine and will be getting a new air fryer. We don't have a dish washer, so your used dishes will need to be washed, dried and put away by you. We just ask that you wash your own dishes and wipe down kitchen counters after use, and keep your room and shared spaces tidy after use (eg. Bathroom and Kitchen). And do your own laundry. We will maintain the rest of the house of course. There is one shared bathroom in the house. We've added new fences in our garden which you can access and use too.
Our living room is solely a family room as it’s always in use/we work from there etc.
Electricity will cost an additional €50 per month to be paid with rent. All other bills included (900EUR total for rent, electricity and all bills)
