DescriptionWe live in a beautiful Georgian house in an area of Dublin that is loaded with character and charm. Your room is located at the back of the house so you'll have lots of privacy and as it looks onto the back garden, it's really quiet.
We are looking ideally looking for a guest who would like to stay from Sundays to Friday but we are more than happy to consider weekend stays as well.
Our neighbourhood, Rathgar, is a leafy gem of 18th century Georgian architecture just 3 miles from the heart of Dublin city centre. It's safe and minutes away from beautiful parks and canal walks. If you're arriving by air, you can take the 16 bus to within a 5 minute walk of house.
Guests will have access to our kitchen at appropriate times during the day eg breakfast, lunch and dinner. Extended periods in this space would not be in harmony with the ebb and flow of our family life, therefore not encouraged - we also spend a lot of time here and sometimes need privacy.
Interaction with guests:
We are happy to share our knowledge of Dublin with our guests. We've lived in Dublin most of our lives and know all the great places to go in the city and countryside. Once we establish what you need, we can point you in all the right directions re: site seeing spots, restaurants, pubs, clubs, shopping areas, cinemas, or even best places to go hiking.
Other things to note:
There's a little Jack Russell called Jake and a cat called Margot in the house. The house is family orientated so the general ebb and flow of our lives is part of the experience.
RoomsQuiet cosy double room -
This double bedroom with it's own bathroom is situated to the rear of the house and overlooks our garden, this gives you a feeling of being away from it all. It has a double bed, ample storage space and table, desk and lamp.
