Youghal is a seaside resort town in Co Cork. Sitting on the estuary of the River Blackwater, it is located in the east of the county just off the N25 and close to the border with Waterford. It is 52km east of Cork, which can be accessed via the 40 bus route and is also 30km south east of Dungarvan in Co Waterford. A popular tourist destination, it has three Blue Flag beaches and an abundance of historical monuments including Clock Gate Tower, Tynte's Castle the Benedictine Priory and more. Other local services and amenities include river cruises, an 18 hole golf course, a greyhound stadium, an indoor entertainment centre, a 25m swimming pool, deep sea fishing and diving and an abundance of restaurants, cafes and bars. There are also a number of hotels, B&Bs, self catering accommodation, camp sites and more. There is also a wide selection of schools from pre and play school through to three primary schools and a secondary school.
