Tuam is a town in Co Galway. The second biggest town in the county, it is situated approximately 35km north of Galway City. Tuam is served by the N17 road (Galway to Sligo) and the N83 road (to Ballyhaunis) as well asR332 and R347 with bus routes 25, 52, 64, 417, 429 and 433 serving the town. There are a wide selection of pubs, shops and restaurants in the town, as well as four primary schools and four secondary schools. There is also two cathedrals in the town, one Roman Catholic and the other Church of Ireland. It is also home to a GAA club, two soccer clubs, a rugby club, a golf club, athletic club, gynastics club and swimming club. There is also a library on High Street.
