St. Mullins
St Mullins is a village on the eastern bank of the River Barrow in the south of Co Carlow. It is less than 2km off the R729 regional road, close to the border with Co Kilkenny, and is named after Saint Moling (614-697) who founded a monastery there in the early 7th century. Indeed, one of the main attractions to St Mullins is St Moling's Well, with other local amenities including a shop and pub.
