Schull is a town in south west Cork. It situated in a scenic and remote location, dominated by Mount Gabriel (407 m). It has a sheltered harbour, used for recreational boating. The area, on the peninsula leading to Mizen Head, is popular with tourists, and there are numerous holiday homes along the adjoining coast. It is around 100km south west of Cork City. Local amenities including beaches, nearby Mizen Head, the harbour as well as several pubs, cafés, restaurants and shops. The town's secondary school has a planetarium and a sailing school. Each year Schull harbour hosts the Fastnet International Schools Regatta. There is a hotel in the village as well as several B&B and self catering accommodations.
