Rockchapel is a village and townland in north Cork. Close to the border with counties Kerry and Limerick, it is just 11km from Brosna in Co Kerry and 18km from Broadford in Limerick. Much of the land close to the village is planted with coniferous trees, mainly of lodgepole pine and Sitka spruce. This was largely facilitated by financial funding from the national forestry company Coillte through its grant support scheme. The area is famous for its traditional musical heritage. Local amenities include St Peter's Church, two pubs, two shops, a post office, communty centre, primary school, funeral home and graveyard. There is also a GAA club while it is home to the Munster headquarters of ADA Systems.
