Rialto is a suburb of Dublin's southside in the Dublin 8 postcode region. It is located along the abandoned section from the Grand Canal to James Street Basin, which was built to serve the Guinness Brewery. Rialto has its own Rialto Bridge, which spans the abandoned portion of the Grand Canal. This portion of the canal is now used for the Luas Red Line from Connolly Station to Tallaght. Near the Rialto Bridge is the 'Rialto' Luas stop, which serves the community. Amongst the services and amenities in and around Rialto include St James's Hospital, the Coombe Hospital, the Guinness Storehouse, the Royal Hospital in Kilmainham and Heuston Train Station.
