Renvyle is a village, townland and peninsula in the Connemara area of west Galway. It is located around 6km north of Letterfrack and the Connemara National Park with the Connemara Loop running through it. The town of Clifden is around 20.5km south while Galway City is 85km away. The scenic Renvyle Peninsula has something to offer people of all ages and interests. There is long stretches of clean sandy beaches, swimming, scuba diving, shore angling, lake and river fishing, pony trekking, hill climbing, sea angling, boat hire, an adventure centre, aquarium, maritime museum and sea side park, scenic and wildlife coastal cruises. There's also an abundance of traditional Irish music, sing song and craic with a selection of hotels, B&Bs, restaurants and bars, sea-side caravan and camping sites. The nearby Kylemore Abbey is amongst the tourist attractions, as well as the Ocean's Alive Visitor Centre while there is also a national school.
