Mountnugent

Mountnugent is a village in the south of Co Cavan. It is located on the R194 regional road on a river crossing near Lough Sheelin. Historically known as Dalysbridge, the village is in Cavan but the parish of Mountnugent is in the Diocese of Meath. Mountnugent has a pub, grocey shop and filling station, a clothes shop, two churches and a primary school. There is also a hotel just outside the village called the Crover House Hotel. An equestrian centre is also located 3km away with fishing also a prominent sport in the area.
