Letterfrack is a small village in the Connemara area of Co Galway. It was founded by Quakers in the mid-19th Century and lies just 3km west of Renvyle and 15km north-east of Clifden on Barnaderg Bay at the head of Ballinakill Harbour. Letterfrack contains the visitors centre for Connemara National Park while a campus of Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology (GMIT) is also based here running furniture courses. There is a hotel in the village, as well as a number of B&Bs and hostels while other local amenities include two shops, two bars/restaurants, a post office, the Connemara Environmental and Educational Centre, a hair salon and a national school....
