Kilteely is a village in Co Limerick. The area in the east of the county is best known for being twinned with the neighbouring village of Dromkeen. The southern part of the parish is centred on the village of Kilteely which is located at the foot of the Hill of Kilteely, about 25km south-east of the city of Limerick. The northern part of the parish is centred on the village of Dromkeen which is located on the N24 Limerick- Waterford Road, halfway between Limerick City and Tipperary town. Kilteely has a unique landscape compared to other parts of the county. A variety of igneous rocks from two volcanic phases of about 300 million years ago can be found here.
