Kilmallock
Kilmallock is a town in south Co Limerick. Located close to the border with Co Cork, it is a medieval town with the remains of the old walls still visible. It is located 34.5km south of Limerick City and just 9km from Charleville in Cork. Local amenities include a selection of shops, pubs, businesses and restaurants with Kilmallock twinned with Croom for socio-economic purposes. There is also a Dominican Priory in the town and a castle known as King's Castle. The nearest train station is in Charleville, a few kilometres south west of Kilmallock. There is also a GAA club, cycling club, athletic club and a centre for horse breeding in the town. It also has its own busienss park on the outskirts of the town.
