Kilfinane is a small market town in Co Limerick. It is located approximately 40km south east of LImerick and approximately 70km north-northwest of Cork. At an elevation of over 150 metres, Kilfinane is the highest town in County Limerick. It is surrounded on three sides by the Ballyhoura Mountains, and on the fourth side is the "Golden Vale" region that runs through Counties Limerick, Cork, and Tipperary. The town has both primary and secondary schools as well as a selection of shops and pubs.
