Innishannon is a large village in south Cork. It is located on the main Cork-Bandon road (N71). Situated on the River Bandon, the village has rapidly grown in recent years due to its proximity to Cork, 22.5km to its north east. The city can be accessed via the 236 bus, which also stops at Cork Airport. The village has two food stores, a doctor's surgery, a dentist, a pharmacy, a butcher, a hairdresser, a café, a credit union, a fast food restaurant, a Chinese restaurant, a car sales garage and three pubs. There is also a GAA club, soccer club and driving range while a Steam and Vintage Rally takes place in the village each June.
