Glasnevin is in north Dublin bordered by Finglas, Ballymun, Whitehall, Phibsboro, Drumcondra and Cabra. Mainly residential it encompasses Dublin 7 and Dublin 9 and is within 3 km of Dublin city centre. Glasnevin is steeped in local history; it is home to Glasnevin cemetery, one of Ireland’s most historic cemeteries where historic figures such as Micheal Collins and Charles Stewart Parnell are buried.
