Garryhill

Garryhill is a townland in Carlow which is around 15km from Leiglinbridge and 25km from Carlow town. It measures just 367 acres in total and is best known for Garryhill House, which was built by the Earl of Bessborough around 1740 on the site of the ancient Garryhill Castle, originally built by Art Og Kavanagh, King of Leinster. There is a school in Garryhill, as well as a shop and pub.
