Dun Laoghaire
Dun Laoghaire is 15km south east of Dublin city centre. A popular tourist destination it is also home to a large residential population. Dún Laoghaire has its own railway station connecting it to Dublin by DART, and it is also a stop on the mainline from Dublin to Wexford and Rosslare. The town is also served by a frequent bus service. Dun Laoghaire has a many shops including the Bloomfield Shopping Centre and the Pavilions which have re-established Dun Laoghaire as a retail and leisure destination. There is an excellent range of shops such as Penney’s, Marks & Spencer Simply Food, o2, Argos and Meadows & Byre. There is also a host of restaurants, coffee shops and bars including Abrakebabra, N.Joy Café, McDonalds and Dunnes Stores. The area is also home to a large organic market every Sunday morning. Local attractions include Ireland’s largest marina which has a popular sea front walk, a port/harbour which has ferries to the UK, Sandycove Harbour, James Joyce Museum, National Maritime Museum and Dun Laoghaire People's Park Moran Park
